Melody Valier

Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor

Melody is the Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor for Helping Hands Billing Solutions. In her advisory role, Melody provides high-level guidance on the company’s financial and operational decisions, drawing on more than two decades of experience in healthcare administration, payer relations, and contract management. While she takes a more hands-off role in day-to-day operations, her expertise and strategic insight help guide the long-term direction and growth of the company.
Melody began her healthcare career in 1998 as a pre-authorization specialist for an insurance company, where she developed a strong foundation in insurance processes and provider relations. Over the years, she advanced through a variety of roles within the healthcare industry, steadily building her expertise in reimbursement, contracting, and operational strategy.
In 2002, Melody accepted a role as a Contract Analyst with Optum, where she spent 11 years developing deep knowledge of payer contracts, reimbursement structures, and healthcare network operations. Her time at Optum provided invaluable experience navigating the complex relationship between providers and insurance companies.
Wanting to contribute to a mission-driven organization, Melody later transitioned to the behavioral health field, becoming Billing Manager for Little Leaves Behavioral Services, one of the largest Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) providers in Northern Virginia and Maryland. During her tenure, she oversaw billing operations and helped support services for children on the autism spectrum, combining her operational expertise with a passion for helping families access care.
Today, as Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor of Helping Hands Billing Solutions, Melody plays a key role in guiding financial strategy and operational planning, helping ensure the company continues to grow while maintaining the high level of service and integrity that clients depend on.
